What LocalLens was
LocalLens was a private AI search engine for local files. It was designed to search, view and query documents on your own computer without sending those documents to the internet. The important part was not the search box. It was the boundary: private work stayed on the machine.
Why it became Whistle Enterprise
We built Whistle Enterprise because the people who most need a proper record of their meetings are lawyers, advisors, compliance leads, HR, public sector teams and anyone else who requires private meeting documentation. These are the people that can't send conversations to a third party. The same boundary that defined LocalLens applies. Whistle Enterprise records the meeting, transcribes it on the same computer, then writes the document locally. The document at the end is the structured account of what was said, decided and actioned that you would write yourself if you had the time.
Whistle Enterprise will never
The list below was true of LocalLens and is true of Whistle Enterprise.
- Have a bot join your call.
- Send any audio, transcript or document off your computer.
- Require an account to run the software.
- Send any telemetry, analytics pings or usage tracking.
- Train any AI models on anything you record.
The above 5 things will never change.
There are conversations I didn't want sending to a cloud provider, and every other tool required it. So I built Whistle Enterprise.
